autoLock is a Shopify app that helps merchants restrict access to selected pages, products and collections based on customer login status and customer tags.

This Privacy Policy explains what information autoLock accesses, how it is used, and how merchants can contact us with any questions.

Information We Access

autoLock may access limited store information needed to provide its core functionality, including:

• Store name and store domain
• Theme or Online Store information required to apply access rules
• Pages, products and collections selected by the merchant for locking
• Customer login status
• Customer tags used to determine access permissions
• App settings created by the merchant, such as access rules and redirect page settings

autoLock does not sell merchant or customer data.

How We Use Information

We use the information accessed by the app only to:

• Create and manage content lock rules
• Restrict selected pages, products or collections
• Check whether a customer is logged in
• Check whether a customer has the required customer tag
• Redirect visitors without access to the merchant’s chosen access-denied page
• Provide support and troubleshoot app issues
• Maintain the security and reliability of the app

Customer Data

autoLock may use customer tags and login status to determine whether a customer should be allowed to view restricted store content.

autoLock does not use customer data for advertising, profiling, resale, or any purpose unrelated to providing the app’s access-control functionality.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant or customer data.

Data may only be shared where necessary to:

• Provide the app’s functionality
• Comply with legal obligations
• Respond to valid legal requests
• Protect the security and integrity of the app
• Provide support to merchants who contact us

Data Storage

autoLock stores app settings required to operate the app, such as lock rules, selected resources, required customer tags, and redirect settings.

We take reasonable measures to protect stored data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

Data Retention

We retain app-related data only for as long as needed to provide the service, support merchants, maintain app security, or comply with legal obligations.

When a merchant uninstalls autoLock, we may delete or anonymise app-related data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.

Third-Party Services

autoLock is built for Shopify and operates within the Shopify ecosystem. Merchants should also review Shopify’s own privacy policies to understand how Shopify processes store and customer data.

autoLock does not intentionally share data with third-party advertising platforms.

Merchant Rights

Merchants may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of app-related data associated with their store, subject to any legal or security obligations.
